  8. Elipsis .. (A multi-monologue play)

I really love the concept of this play.. Love can really make you sad and happy. It makes you life more complicated than before but you still want to have more.

It started with a gay, who I don’t remember the name anymore, stating how love-stricken he is with Rafael. Even though he had been neglected by Rafael several times, he still believes that he will still remain by his side.

Rafael is a happy-go-lucky person who is married to a gay. Yes, to a gay! :) He had several relationships before but he still sticks with his man or she-man?! :)

Suzy, on the other hand, is a troubled woman trying to absorb life’s difficulties and solves it on her own. It changed when he met Rafael.

The three lives of these characters have changed in an instant.

In the play, they all begin to state each other’s side of the story. Rafael, being the oh-so-handsome boy of the century; Hus husband, which is also a gay and is martyr; and lastly Suzy, who loves Rafael also and is willing to be part of the pain they are all experiencing.

If I put all of the recipes together to conjoin the lives of the three people involve in the play, I would say that Mr. Husband came first. Rafael, being so damn hot and handsome wanted to go out of his comfort zone and try it out. They had sexual relationship. Suzy, who always complains about the difficulties in her life, wanted to gain compassion from someone in the bar. Rafael comforted her and that’s the time they will become intimate. Rafael can’t hurt both of them so he preferred to keep them both. They both Rafael! Love him so bad , that it doesn’t matter what the society thinks of them :)

“I guess that’s what you call unconditional love” -Elipsis

I love the flow of the story, walang halong kaplastikan! Vulgar and so damn heart melting. Nice Script ! :)))))

    RAFAEEELLLLL!!!! SUZYY!!!

Can’t get enough, I wish they will have a part two for this play.

  9. Ang Lihim ni Antonio :) (Antonio’s secret)

This is all about the journey of Antonio in finding out his true identity. Antonio lived a stable life with his loving mother but he didn’t experience having his dad’s presence beside him as he grows. He yearns to feel that fatherly-love that he mistakenly found on his Uncle Jo. They had sexual relationship.

For me, Antonio is bisexual. He still dreams of pretty girls and are having wet dreams about them. Maybe, he is just confused on what he feels towards the male figures in his life.  The story also featured Jiro Manio as his best friend to whom he had confided the events he believes shook his manliness to the core.

Due to Antonio’s pursuit to his true identity, it resulted to shocking and downhearted proceedings. His mother killed Uncle Jo and had become insane afterwards. Antonio carried the burden of the murder done by his mother by making everybody believe that he had killed his Tito Jo. Since he is a minor, he will not be imprisoned and will be under the care of DSWD.

It’s pretty sad to think that Antonio is not yet finished in finding out if he really is gay or not, but it immediately resulted to events that deprived him from continuing his journey to his real identity.  The film shows how a person’s views can change because of the effects of the environment around him and if he doesn’t play his cards right to please the society, it will really result to tragic events.

To tell you the truth, I still believe that Antonio is a straight guy. However, due to the lack of attention given by his father and the perception of everybody that he is living a perfect life, he is afraid to make mistakes. In the process of limiting himself from doing mistakes, he had venture into another path that is more dangerous and confusing that to what he had been living before.

    Long live Antonio! :P

  10. 120 days of Sodom (SALO or School of Libertinism)
This film literally disgust me…
I don’t really know how to react to this film.
For starters, It has been named as the most controversial film of all time because of its themes in sexual violence and extreme cruelty. In the novel, it is segregated into five parts. The selected individuals experienced the simple, complex, criminal and murderous passions that are transcribed in the law given in SALO. They only select the best of the best which will be part of sadism.
I have watched the film two times but I still can’t keep my eyes open whenever there are certain “sensitive things” that are flashed on the screen from time to time as the story continues. It really does shed light on the viewers on how cruel human life is. The most unforgettable part that I have seen in this film is when a boy and a girl got married and their guests are all naked. Prior to that, in their so-called “honeymoon” they are given the chance to make love to each other but  eventually they have been sexually abused by some of the presiding officers in this movie. I heard that the director was killed after the film. It must have been because the government and the church that time is really concerned on their “ways” on how to administer the state and they didn’t want the public to know what is really happening in their country that time. This is a French film which made is more interesting. In France, they exercise liberalism however; it doesn’t stop them from banning this film because it was too much for them to bear? I guess?

(I don’t want to talk about the eating-my-and-your-own-poop part, please! It is too much for me to bear! L )
